With unwavering dedication and humility, you worked tirelessly to revive and promote the Mithila culture, and to educate students from humble, rural backgrounds with love, honesty, and sincerity — nurturing not just their knowledge, but their confidence and character as well.
Your untimely passing during the COVID pandemic is not just a loss for Maithili literature,
but a monumental loss for the entire Mithila region and for every student who looked up to you as a mentor, a guide, and a source of light in their journey of learning.
We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace and salvation to your noble soul.

आपका साथ भले ही अब हमारे बीच नहीं रहा,
पर आपकी यादों की खुशबू सदा हमारे हृदयों में महकती रहेगी।
आपका यूँ अचानक जाना हम सभी के लिए एक अपूर्ण और अभूतपूर्व क्षति है —
एक ऐसी रिक्तता, जिसे समय भी शायद कभी नहीं भर पाएगा। 😢
आप न केवल मंथन IAS के संस्थापक थे, बल्कि मैथिली साहित्य को लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC/BPSC) में सम्मानजनक स्थान दिलाने वाले एक महान शिक्षाविद, मार्गदर्शक और सांस्कृतिक वाहक भी थे।
आपने अपनी अद्वितीय निष्ठा से मिथिला संस्कृति को जन-जन तक पहुँचाया,
गरीब और ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि से आने वाले छात्रों को अपने स्नेह, ज्ञान और सादगी से न केवल शिक्षित किया, बल्कि उनमें आत्मविश्वास और स्वाभिमान की ज्योति भी प्रज्वलित की।
डॉ. शेखर झा सर का कोविड महामारी के दौरान हुआ आकस्मिक निधन केवल मैथिली भाषा और साहित्य ही नहीं, बल्कि सम्पूर्ण मिथिला और हिंदी भाषी क्षेत्र के लिए एक गहरी क्षति है।
